Note
  • Check in time at the hotel is 14.00 Hrs and Check out time is 12.00 noon.
  • Tariff for double occupancy includes the registration fee of only 1 delegate.
  • Room checking in before 0700hrs will be charged full day charges. Checking in after 0700hrs until 1200 noon will be charged half day. Room checking out after 1400hrs will be charged half day charges until 1800hrs. Checking out after 1800hrs will be charged full day charges. All these extras can be paid to the hotel directly.
  • Children Below 6 years of age can stay in the parent’s room at no charge without extra bed. Above 6 years will be charged as extra person, the same can be paid to the hotel during check in.
  • Residential package includes Registration fee and accommodation for 2 or 3 nights, Breakfast as chosen.
  • Twin sharing package is for rooms on sharing with Dr Friends or colleagues only. The rate is per person.
  • Booking for rooms at venue will be closed as soon as our guaranteed rooms are filled.
  • Please book the rooms well in advance and avoid last minute disappointment.
  • There will be no refund on cancellation of rooms from 1st October onwards.

Abstract Submission

Free Paper / Poster / Video submission guidelines
  1. Submission: Abstracts may be submitted online only.
  2. Language: All abstracts must be submitted in English (Arial font 11).
  3. Abstracts must contain original material & the work should be done in India.
  4. The Chief/Presenting author must be a member of Cornea Society of India.
  5. Maximum two submissions for each presenter either as Chief author or Co-author (Free Paper + Poster; Free Paper + Video; Poster + Video)
  6. There will be Award for - Best Paper, Best Poster and Best Video.
  7. The abstract for Free Paper and Poster: is to be submitted as structured (300 words)

    • Results
    • Conclusion
    • Financial interest: Yes/No
    • Conflict of Interest: Yes/No
    • Declaration: Not presented earlier/Published/or Accepted for publication
  8. The duration of Free Paper is 6 minutes and Duration of Video maximum of 8 minutes.
  9. Any Free Paper/Poster/Video presented earlier in any major conferences or already published/accepted for publication will not be considered.
  10. The abstract for Video may be structured or non-structured (300 words).
  11. Followed by abstract submission for video, original video to be shared via google drive/email before 15th August 2018.
  12. Name or Institutional affiliation should not be disclosed in the video abstract, as all abstracts will be judged anonymously.
  13. Abstract Submission deadline is 15th August 2018.
  14. Abstracts selection will be subject to a peer review by two independent experts. Authors will be notified of acceptance by email.
  15. Abstract authors must register for the conference by 15th August 2018.
  16. If an abstract is accepted, the presenting author must attend the congress and present it in person.

Guidelines
  1. Deadline: All entries must be received by 15th August 2018
  2. Eligibility: Al registered delegates of Keracon 2017 / CSI members may submit images. Images that have earned recognition or been displayed in other juried exhibits are not eligible for entry
  3. Releases: Photographs revealing patient identity must be accompanied by a typewritten, signed, and witnessed photographic release.
  4. Number of entries: No more than four (4) entries per person, maximum of two (2) per category will be accepted.
  5. Image Quality: Images which have obvious defects (poor focus, color imbalance, improper exposure, or significant artifacts) will not be accepted for judging.
  6. Format: 8”x10”(20cm x25.5cm) or 11”x14”(28cm x 35.5cm) is encouraged.
    Photomontages (multiple prints affixed to each other) will not be accepted. A montage must be re-photographed/digitized, printed and submitted as a single print.
    Digital photographs, minimum acceptable size of each digital image is 1920x1080 pixels.
    Files must be submitted in a .tif (TIFF), .png (PNG) or highest quality .jpg (JPEG) format possible. Images must be labelled with the photographer’s last name, category code with submission number and Left(L) or Right (R) indicator before the file extension (.jpg). For example: foglaSL1L.jpg and the other image would be foglaSL1R.jpg. For the second submission in the same category, label files foglaSL2L.jpg and foglaSL2R.jpg, Category codes can be found on the entry form (e.g. Slit Lamp Photography = SL).
  7. Identification: Do not label the front side of prints.
    Please label the back of each print with the following information
    • Full Name
    • Affiliated Practice or Institution
    • City & State
    • Photo Title or Diagnosis
    • Category
    • Multi-print Order Identification
    • Photography unit (Camera / Smartphone details)
    Clinical photographs must be titled with diagnosis. The terms 'normal, "probable,' or 'unknown' are acceptable. Entries will not be judged based on an accurate diagnosis.
  8. Judging: A panel of judges will review all entries. The group will be composed of photographers and ophthalmologists. Judges may not submit entries. The judges reserve the right to reassign images to different categories.
  9. Signature: Your signature on the entry form indicates that you have read, understand, and have complied with the rules of the exhibit. For online submissions, a scan/ copy of the completed and signed Entry Form must be uploaded along with your images. Unsigned entries will be rejected.
    First and Second place winners in the Print Division will be required to provide electronic files so their images may be published in the CSI Newsletter / CSI website.
    Certificates will be awarded in both divisions for first, second place, and honourable mention. These photographs will comprise the Society's Scientific Exhibit at Keracon 2017 and may be displayed or published by the Society.
  10. Category Details: Do not label the front side of prints.
    Please label the back of each print with the following information
    • Slit Lamp (SL): Images produced with a photo slit lamp biomicroscope
    • External (Ex): Photographs of the outside of the eye. face or other appropriate anatomy. which do not qualify for the slit lamp biomicrography category
    • Surgical (SG): Images produced in a surgical environment demonstrating a surgical technique or procedure
    • Diagnostic (DA): Images from various corneal diagnostic devices - topography / specular microscope / OCT / Confocal microscope / Microbiology / Histopathology etc
    • Eye as Art (EA): Be creative. Use your imagination.
